Schools and universities are being pressured to endorse the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s Working Definition of Antisemitism (IHRA WDA) to demonstrate their opposition to antisemitism. But redefining antisemitism in a way that conflates Jewish identity with Israel causes harm to Palestinians, justice-loving Jews, and others committed to peace with justice. This set of well-referenced slides is intended to help schools and universities to consider the negative impact the IHRA WDA has on the mandate and obligations of educational institutions. The slides can be downloaded and modified as needed for particular circumstances. They can be shared electronically or printed as handouts.
